I would be willing to bet that if you follow the support worksheets it would not come out that she provides over half of his support. It is very difficult to establish this if and when you do the worksheets. At least would be in our neck of the woods. As far as I know his beer drinking and cigarette smoking, carousing around, or whatever would be part of support. Maybe I am wrong. But if he made 15K in 2013 and at the end of 2013 he had nothing left then he spent 15K of his funds on his support.

His disability may be taxable.
I just did some more checking (it's like pulling teeth from a baby!!!) and it sounds like his $500/m is from a profit sharing from the place he used to work. I still have more checking to do so I think that amount should be taxable which is more than the $3900 which would exclude him from being eligible.
