    Section 125 Health Care Insurance

    Taxpayers W-2 shows Section 125 Health In in block 14 with a numerical value (cost). taxpayer thinks these are pretax dollars, but the wages in blocks 1,3,5 are all the same. Are section 125 contributions exempt from SS/Medicare tax??

      Most are exempt from Social Security/Medicare taxes, and Health plans are.
