Pd via EFTPS but IRS mailed CP5048. Would you charge for this?

S-Corp paid tax via EFTPS 15 days ago via EFTPS (I have EFTPS payment receipt and amt has already been debited from S-Corp checking acct). S-Corp recieves CP5048 letter regarding the same exact amount that was due plus interest. Obviously I am going to need to call the IRS and probably fax them EFTPS receipt to get this resolved. Would you charge for this and if so how much and if not, why not?

    Depends how you bill?

How do you bill for your work? By time, by task or a combination.

If I was doing the payroll for this company, I would not charge extra because I routinely have to followup on things like that and pricing has that built in.

But if I have to take time off my schedule to make a call, wait and then get it resolved, I would charge extra.
