I may have lost it. 1041 began March 2012 ended feb 2013. First year filed on 2012 forms? and second short year filed on 2013 forms as Exec didn't get everything done until Oct 2013.

TOYS4US you are correct. If year ends very early, the form may have not yet changed and you would need to observe changes in the law from one year to the next.
