    Just curious, but

There is a process for doing escalations which require a return call to the customer but those are not the norm.

You are an Intuit employee, not a contractor, and are expected to only be doing Intuit business while on the clock.
when you said you were working for Intuit full-time, does that mean you don't take any of your "regular" customers during the daytime hours, or do you meet with them at night, or between phone calls, or are you phasing out of local trade altogether, sub-contracting to other preppers, having supervised employees do it, or what/how do you handle your ordinary trade (if you don't mind saying-never mind if you'd rather not get into that)?

    Thanks.

Wow that is one long work day. I thought I would work nights if I get contacted by them.

Well if I would decide to join in on the Intuit Program for TT - I definitely would not be able to accomdate with my current client base. I have no free time now and feel like I am working 10 to 15 hours per day.

Guess it won't be a consideration for now - unless I lose a large client base.

What are the questions like and the callers?

I'm curious about the process with a person calls, are they generally clueless bots and their questions are so basic that you have to tell them what color crayon to use on what form? Is it more tax questions or questions on navigating TT software? Are there some actual tax issues that require tax knowledge of an experienced EA or CPA? Do you hear the same questions over and over again or do they challenge you from time to time with new things?

                  Turbo tax

I don't think of self-preparers using Turbo tax as competition. Same for people who prepare their taxes with pen and paper. Does a guy who mows grass think someone who mows his own grass as a competitor?

If it is a simple return that involves nothing more than doing the arithmetic, deducting exemptions, mortgage interest, Real Estate Tax, and contributions, many people can do their return on Turbo Tax and have no need to pay someone to do their return. Other people couldn't even do a 1040EZ themselves.

bi-weekly. The pay rates vary, I believe.

I got an email wanting to do a quick interview with me and asking for the best contact number and time. So far I have yet to hear anything from them. I also had to reach out to a contact on a job site to find out what was going on with my application to get the interview email. Either I am not a strong candidate or they are slow on getting back to people.

I filed out on online application, and included a resume on Nov 1st. All I have received is a Thank You email. I may be out of the running because I marked I do not have a land line phone, but I can get one. Having second thoughts also. I quit my business to retire, WHAT WAS I THINKING.

Me too. I decided to contact a lady on one of the job sites about what was going on. She must have got in touch with the recruiter because I got an email about two days later asking for my phone number and a good time to call. Never did get a call, then last week I called and left a message. Then today I got another email asking for a good time to talk.

I believe they contact the people within a certain criteria first. For example, only has so many clients, years of experience, education, etc. I read on the GlassDoor where one person was contacted in 2 days after the application and another one they contacted after 3 weeks. So they have a system of picking the ones they want to call. From my understanding, most employers now have a computer program that just goes through and picks up certain words and phrases. These apps/resumes get chosen first.

                          Either way... I get a call or I don't.
