SMR Vr Actual Expenses for Leased Auto

Another question please. Can the TP alternate between SMR or Actual expenses if the Actual expense method was used for the first year of an Auto Lease
on Sch C? TheTaxBook says that if you claim the SMR the first year of the Lease that you must continue taking the SMR throughout the lease term. So, that's the reason for my question. Thank you in advance for your help.

The answer is NO—The Tax Book is correct.
