What is best and fastest way ? SSA; IRS(e-services?)

I find that IRS on e-services is another way if you have a POA in place and signed up for e-services, however, usually does not provide the State Income and Withholding information

Other thought is for taxpayer to contact their prior employer and see if they will fax or email?

you can't enter a POA into eservices anymore. Call the Priority Hotline. You will have to wait a long time but it is the quickest way. Other option is to send your client to the local IRS office for it.

Contact employer that issued W-2s, they should have them ready for pick up.
