I think those # signs are because ATX runs on an Excell format and the number is too big for the cell. I used to back up on a floppy but with all the graphics in programs the files are too big. This year I bought an exernal hard drive that can fit into a fire box so far it works great. I read about some of you having to remove commas and periods or your E-file fails, I haven't had that problem since I switched sorfware.

I talked to the local computer repair shop a while ago and he confirms that. He said I can get one that has 256 megs on it. Also, he said I could use it to move my clients from one computer to the other--all I have to do is is punch "Import" and when the drive list drops down for selection, the jump drive icon will be there along with "C" and "A."

Can you tell us what broker/dealer you're with? Or, if not, can you recommend some in addition to the H. D. Vest that Veritas mentioned? By the way, do you think H. D. Vest is a good one or are there other brokers that you think are better and are available to accountants?

P.S. Does it rain up there all the time?

        Thanks.

            Black Bart, I

was stuck in Seattle for 6 weeks back in 1952. The army was trying to ship me off to
Korea to learn how to shoot a rifle at the Chinese.
Any way, during that 6 week period I saw the sun one day. The rest of the time it just
            drizzled. Beautiful country though.
