I am preparing my first 1045 in many years. It seems the IRS wants me to attach to the 1045 and 1045 Schedule A and the 2005 1040 (the NOL year), Schedule A, and Schedule C (the form creating the NOL). Nothing from the 2003, the year we are going back to needs to be atttached, correct?

similar to an amended return
Mark, You should attach the forms that have changed in the Carry back year - same as you would an amended return - this might include any form affected by a change in AGI, like Schedule A. I always include a Form 6251, too. even if there is no AMT, as I've had them come back and ask for this a couple of times.
