Form 2848, Part 2 EA Licesning Jurisdiction?

    Form 2848, Part 2 EA Licesning Jurisdiction?

    I have not completed one of these for a couple years now and it looks like the format changed. Page 2, Part II data on Representative, a CPA or Attorney would most likely enter their state who issued their license in the Licesning Jurisdiction column but what about the EA? I called the IRS and they sent me to law etc. and no one there knew what the Licensing Jurisdiciton is for an EA and the instructions are vague. Should this column be left blank since the EA # is in the next column?

    Col 1 - Letter c

    Licensing Jurisdiction - IRS-OPR

    License Number - your EA number
    Uncle Sam, CPA, EA. ARA, NTPI Fellow

      I just always leave it blank. So that is good to know.

        IRS says leave it blank.
        Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

          After alot of thought, I just used "IRS".
          This post is for discussion purposes only and should be verified with other sources before actual use.

          Many times I post additional info on the post, Click on "message board" for updated content.
