When a Minister has an education allowance how is it treated on taxes?

If it is a scholarship that is to be used for tuition, fees and related expenses it is tax free. If it is compensation for services it would be taxable but could then be used for the education credits.
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.

Is it shown on his W-2 somehow? Or just in his compensation package? DaveO is correct in its treatment.

Or it could be part of an accountable reimbursement plan if there is a ministry connection
