Who do you use for Payroll Services?

I did a serach under Payroll Services and could not locate any thread relating to this so I thought I would start one. I currently use QB Enhanced Payroll for Accountants (Desktop) but my renewal subscription fee has doubled. Currently I have one employer with 1 employee plus I have a Salon that has 10 indepedent contractors therefore I issue each one a 1099-misc.

    Payroll Service

I use an after-the-fact payroll - CFS Payroll.
The company is located in Simi Valley, California.
Why bother paying an outside payroll service when you can
do it internally and have a better control over your client's
    payroll and 1099 issuance?

      Payroll Program

I have been using MEDLIN for 7 years and have no problems!

I first paid $50.00 a year when i started and now it is $55.00.

Try it out FREE. The payroll program is well worth the money.

Go to www.medlin.com and see all about it.

AMS Advanced Micro Solutions 1099 etc.

I use AMS and love it. Very reasonable. I use it as an after the fact payroll for clients where I prepare thier 941s. It can also be used for live payroll but I do not do live payroll in house. I also have heard very good reports on Accountants World Payroll Relief for live payroll (that is you competing with ADP). I have not had good experience with Quickbooks Payroll, steming from the fact that you get a different person everytime you call and I felt they have too much control of your client. Hope your switch goes smoothly.

          Medlin

I use medlin for billing. The only problem is talking to the owner. He provides very little help with the programs but it is cheap and the programs work. Nothing is to difficult where you can't figure it out by yourself. So don't be shocked when you talk to him ( you will be better off not talking to him and enjoy the programs).

Does Medlin offer direct deposit of paychecks and will it process state payroll taxes? Last time I looked at it these weren't available but that was years ago.
