Does workers' compensation insurance get paid for from payroll taxes in NJ or is paying for insurance for workers' compensation sometimes a separate requirement for NJ employers? How does this work?

Not from payroll
Workers' Comp insurance in NJ is billed to the employer by the insurance company and paid by the employer just like any other bill. Not done through the payroll process. -

Is the owner of a single member LLC that is being taxed as an S Corporation in NJ required to obtain workers' compensation insurance for himself since he is receiving compensation for services in regards to his business in NJ?Comment

Yes, I believe so
As an S corp owner, he is also an S corp employee and I believe is required to have workers' comp insurance. I'll look into that.Comment

There are 3 main payroll taxes in NJ.
NJUI - NJ UnEmployment max $129 paid by employee
NJDI - NJ Disability Insurance - Max $60.60 for employee - Employer pays a part
NJFLI NJ Family Leave Insurance - Paid by Employee - Max $24.24 (I know - .24 why! it rounds down anyway)
The Workmens Compensation is paid by Employer - No Employee Contribution.Matthew Jones
