I always wait to do the state until the Fed is accepted. How is this handled on the 15th. Some Federals won't be accepted til late or tomorrow. Do you go ahead and release the held files and efile the state.

Me, too. I use ATX as well, and there is no problem filing them at the same time. It is also more efficient. The state ACKs always come in later than the fed anyway. The only time I ran into a problem is when you have multiple states involving OSC and the one with the credit does not go for whatever reason. Then it won't re-create because the other state has been transmitted or accepted. I keep hoping the other state will reject, but it probably won't.Comment

I would NEVER think of holding the state return until Federal is acked.This post is for discussion purposes only and should be verified with other sources before actual use.
