    Injured spouse

Clients own money to federal and state. Is there any reason to file an injured spouse return?

Is it both of them or just one? I assume these are married taxpayers.

Sorry, not too clear, I guess. Married couple, husband owes money to IRS, they are filing joint ( or separately, decision to be made), but for 2012 filing jointly they have a balance due, should I still file an injured spouse?

The injured spouse filing is so that the non owing spouse will get their share of a refund and not have it attached for the other spouses problems. If MFJ and they owe, I do not see any reason to file the injured spouse form.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".
