    Foreign Income Exclusion

Client has been claiming Foreign Income Exclusion for several years. He has a business overseas. This year he earned commission from a US Company and received a 1099MISC for $5000
Should he pay SE tax on this income or include it as a part of his exclusion/
Everybody should pay his income tax with a smile. I tried it, but they wanted cash

Isn't the exclusion for income tax only and not SE tax? Also, for foreign income only, or did he earn it working overseas for a US company?

Taxpayer earned the income (commission) for the US company while living overseas.
