I have sent questions to the IRS through the web before. I cannot find the link now. I remember questions can be sent on a webpage. I also left my email address. And then an IRS representative would reply through email (a few weeks later). Does anyone still have the link to that webpage?

It is diabolically hard to find. I finally got it (again) from the chat option of the web site help page.Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

IRS E-mail Help
I used that service a couple times many years ago. I wasn't impressed.
Generally, you're going to get a "canned" answer. They copy and paste from IRS publications.
If your question isn't answered in an IRS publication, they will probably find an answer anyway. They are likely to misinterpret your question in such a way that they can find an answer in one of their publications.
Good luck.
