    form 8300

it seems like alot of businesses do not know that they have to report cash received over 10,000 on this form to the irs. I was just wondering how aggressive IRS actually goes after enforcing these transactions? for example if a business had one transaction and did not know they had to this, would that cause them problems down the road? is there any penalty if one files this form after the due date which is the 15th on the month after the transaction? i would appreciate any info on this form.

Well, it does pertain to cash. Not checks. How many businesses get that much from one party in the time period required?
