    What's the point? There's no divorced or separated parents. There's no custodial vs. non-custodial parent. Best case scenario they ignore it when you file the return because it's not necessary. Worst case, they assume the couple are separated and that whoever is sending in the form is a non-custodial parent and disallow EIC/HOH/2441.

Ah,, no, I don't have a cite, it's just a waste of time, and I would certainly hope you wouldn't be charging for the preparation of the form that is, boy, I'm not sure what to say it is.....seriously, I can't believe I'm having this discussion, you can have the last word.
