Just wanted to confirm - I read the summary of ARTA and it looks to me like the credit for an electric car was not extended. Looks like it was for motorcycles and 3-wheels, but not cars. Anyone know anything different? (Of course, the car dealership told the client something different!)

The regular credit for plug-in electric vehicles under IRC §30 expired for vehicles acquired after December 31, 2011. Section 30 was NOT extended under the new law. The only electric vehicle credit available under the new law is a modified version of IRC §30D, which specifically excludes low speed vehicles such as golf carts, and anything else that isn't 2 or 3 wheeled.
