According to the tax book the 250.00 educator credit has expired. I was thinking it has been extended. Does anyone know the status for sure.

Has been extended for tax years 2012 and 2013.

Educator Expenses

This provision had expired, and was not available in 2011.

It has been reinstated by the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, commonly referred to as the "fiscal cliff" legislation.

Technically, it is a deduction, not a credit.
