    1099-Misc Post Mark

    I was just on a chat with "efileforbusiness.com" and the chat person said IRS law is that the envelope containing the 1099-misc needs to be postmarked no later then Jan 31, 2013. Is that correct?

      Yes. The 1099 MISC that you mail to the payee/recipient - mail by 01/31/13.

      The 1099/1096 that you file with the IRS: mail on paper by 02/28/13 or
      if efile (you have another month) by 03/31/13
