    Ex-spouse And Hoh

    it seems lately that every return has a little kink! would a taxpayer's ex-husband who lives with her and whom she supports and can claim as a dependent qualify her for HOH? in a nutshell is an ex spouse a qualifying relative? i would think not but ex inlaws qualify so i'm not 100% sure. thanks

      Qualifying relative cannot quality you for HOH

          what i meant was if she meets all the other test for HOH but the dependent is her ex-husband would she qualify for HOH?

              No she would not qualify for HOH

                  If her ex-husband is her brother or son, then she could claim him for HOH.
