    Engagement letter signatures

    I'm thinking about using the TaxBook's engagement letter this year, with only slight modification. It has no line for a preparer signature, only for the taxpayers. Is the preparer's signature not required?

      I don't believe so. I have never included a line for my signature. This form is for the agreement of the client.
      Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
