I have a domestic Partnership (2 partners) that filed their 2009 & 2010 form 1065 tax returns in late 2011. The penalties for the 2 years are almost $7,000. We will file 2011 in early January. There were huge extenuating circumstances with moving overseas and returning. Through 2008 the Partnership had filed on time and had otherwise been compliant. What is the best I can expect as far as getting the penalties abated. Thanks!
