    Education Credits

    Are undergraduate students treated any different than graduate students for the education credits or tuition deduction. Noticed it marked on 1098t and wondered why it is on form.

      Obviously a graduate student would not qualify for the Hope Credit since it can only be used for the first two years of postsecondary education.

      But the Lifetime learning credit and tuition and fees deduction are allowed for both undergraduate and graduate students.
