On November 21, 2012 the Internal Revenue Service announced the 2013 standard mileage rates. Beginning on Jan. 1, 2013 they will be as follows:
* 56.5 cents per mile for business miles
* 24 cents per mile for medical or moving mileage
* 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations
The rates for business, medical and moving mileage is up 1 cent from the 2012 rates. The "charitable" rate is set by statute and is unchanged.
