Question When I access IRS and click on a form why does it open it in Word format i nstead of PDF?

Does this only happen on the IRS web site?

Somewhere in your browser or system, there's a mapping between file types (e.g, the ".pdf") and the application to use for opening those file types.

In Firefox, it's in Options, under the Applications tab. I think IE uses the Microsoft Windows default mapping, which you can get at through the Windows Explorer (not IE).
