    Local Wages & State Wages

Would local wages ever be different then state wages for non employee deferred compensation plans reported on a w-2?

Could very well be. Remember that localities make their own rules. The real question then, is did the preparer of the W2 follow those rules.

Do you mean non-qualified deferred compensation plans? I know there are special rules for these plans and they can involve non-employees, but I can't find anything that says non-employee deferred compensation would ever be reported on a W-2 instead of a 1099-MISC.

Do you mean "non-employee" or "former employee" (now retired)?
