    EA test section 2????

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to pass section 2 of the EA test? I have study material but I am struggling on passing this section.....Are live seminars worth the money? Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

    Section 2

I took all three parts back in 2008, so my memory is starting to fade.

What part of Section 2 seems to be giving you trouble?

    Corporations, partnerships, or something else?

I found the questions about estate tax to be among the most challenging...

Don't know how the tests look now with the private contractor, but check out prior IRS SEE exams.
Administered "old school". Once a year, 4 parts over 2 days.

Do a search on my name and you will find a post I did on studying for the exam and the results.

I used Gleim study materials and I really studied. I passed part 2 on the first try. I had a certain method I used that was not necessarily Gleim recommended but it worked for me.

You may also want to look at Fast Forward Academy. They have a test bank available online that may be beneficial to you. I purchased their book and extra test bank questions while preparing for my rtrp exam and passed with ease using these as a guide!

When I passed Part 2 on the first try back in 2006 at Prometric, the most effective preparation consisted of the printed books and the CD practice questions from Gleim which I ran through my laptop computer whenever there were any minutes or hours available. I did not find the online practice questions from Gleim to be valuable.

I don't believe I would pay to attend live seminars. What I did find useful was a class which was held once a week that expected several of us that were planning to take the exam to come each week to go round our group explaining the answer to each question on a practice test.

Another test preparation group, informally organized, that I saw around a year ago degenerated into disorganized goofing off.

                Try your local NAEA chapter

I attended my local chapter's EA class last year and you were able to just attend the class or classes that pertained to that EA part. In addition, my local EA chapter also had extremely small groups for those that still were having trouble. I also used Fast Forward Acadamy online sample questions.
