    Back to the Grantor letter

I have a Grantor letter hanging over my head and I wonder if anyone out here can look at it for me and advise me?

Specifically, there is a line referencing a 6781. I am not sure if I am to actually DO a 6781 or simply enter the figure as the Grantor letter says to do.

I can email a "sanitized" copy if someone will look at it for me.

    If so, please email dsmtax@cox.net

I am assuming the Grantor Letter is in lieu of a K-1 and has all the same information. However, I am unable to locate a line number for this on the 1041 K-1 worksheet. The only place my software has it is on the K-1 worksheet for 1120-S. It is Line 10-C. Since this is for straddles, you want it to split it correctly. So it looks like you will have to enter directly onto 6781 and compute the split on line 8 & 9 if it doesn't do it automatically.
