    Professional Santa Claus depreciating outfit

As we all do, we meet taxpayers from all professionals and this a first for me. Anyone know the depreciation life of a Santa Claus suit?

I would say 7 years - "Any property that does not have a class life and has not been designated by law as being in any other class."

BTW - how much do you want for that small lake?

I would go with seven years, too.

Unless you would then be put on Santa's bad list, in which case I would Section 179 that thing in a heartbeat.
If you loan someone $20 and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
