    Social Security Disability Insurance?

    His wife receives $5070. in social security disability insurance which will be permanent. Is this type of income treated the same as the regular social security?

      SS disability or SSI

      If it is reported on Form 1099-SSA, and if it is for disability it should be, then yes. If there is no report of amount received, then it would not be.
