    Foreign exclusion

Can you see any reason to file 2555 when the US Citizen is earning less than the filing requirement anyway so no regular tax? Most of it happens to be SE tax and that is why we are filing. He has a regular US address also for US business but has been out of the country for a couple of years.

Are you just going to show the wages on Line 7 and let it go? I assume it must be in US dollars. I don't see any reason to file 2555 if it isn't necessary, unless it is a state issue.

Thanks. There is one W-2 but the SE I was going to put on C. He has a US address and I just I was wondering if you have to say where the person did the work - out of the country.

Not unless you are going to use 2555.
