Anyone needing to amend an AL return MANUALLY needs to go to AL DOR and choose form 40 (regular tax form for tax year you're amending, if after 2007). Choose the print only option. There's a box to check indicating you're amending the tax return for that year. You are then able to complete the return as if you are doing it for the first time. The tax table is also there.
