    According to my readings the continuance of the SS tax 2% deduction through 2012 was in-lieu of the Sch M.
    Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

        I actually got a reply by e-mail from the author of the article.

        As noted earlier in this thread, Bankrate.com published an updated version of the article, but somehow, the Fox Business website posted an earlier version that was almost two years old.

        The author of the article, Kay Bell, acknowledged that this was obviously a mistake, and said she would notify "the powers that be" at Bankrate.

        Bankrate would then have to notify Fox Business that they are using an old URL.

        So it may take some time, but this article will probably be removed, or replaced with the current version.

        I also e-mailed Fox. But I haven't gotten a response yet.
