Does the Golden State have a statute of limitations on collections once the tax is assessed? I tried looking on-line at FTB but can't come up with anything. A new client's bank account was levied last week for 1997 taxes owed to California. Trying to give him advice on his options re: stopping the levy or having to pay.
UPDATE:Never mind, my lovely wife just found the info at the FTB site, no SOL until 2006 and then it is 20 years.
