    roth ira conversion

    what is the time requirement before one has to wait to convert his regular ira to a roth?
    i have a client that does not qualify to contribute to a roth because of his income so i thought he could open a non-deductable ira and then convert it to roth.

      As far as I know, the IRS has no time requirement. The IRA custodian may, however.
