    Retirement Savers Credit

Credit eliminated or reduced if current year distribution is made prior to due date of return including extensions. What do you feel is due date of return? Is it in April or October?

Would it be possible to make a contribution on April 13 this year to get the credit and than take a distribution after April 17 without affecting the credit.

I understand it as Oct 1 including the extension period.

Oct 15 is on a Monday. I don't think so.

If you do not file for extension wouldn't the due date be in April. Or does it mean that the due date is October even if you do not file an extension. Could take it to read that it is April but if you file for extension it becomes an October due date.
