    Is A Minister Entitled To H And A Deduction On Page 1?

    I have a lady minister who receives TWO W-2 forms each year which report wages but NO fica, etc. Accordingly I make her pay self-employment tax on a scedule SE. So, there is NO schedule C. Can she claim her H and A insurance premiums on page 1 of the return because she is in a business?

      Health insurance premiums cannot be deducted on p 1 of 1040 since she is considered an employee of the churches. See Pub 517. See also Pub 535, chapter 6.
      If you loan someone $20 and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
