    Per Diem for Truck Drivers

What is the 2011 per diem rate for over the road truck drivers? I have found different answeres anywhere from $54 to $63, but figured I will ask here as I find this to be a great source of information a lot of times.

    Thanks,
    nk

I need to know it too, and couldn't find it in my Tax Book. the CD version isn't as easy to read as the paper one.

Also on page 1-2 of TB. I like the charts in section 1. Lots of good info there and quite handy right there in front.

You can also download IRS Pub 1542 which has the per diem rates and the special per diem rates for specific high-cost cities.

TTB stands for The Tax Book - the people who provide this forum.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

Which specific tax book from The Tax Book people?

I have their 1040 book, but I don't have any other ones.

The specific pages referred to by Bonnie and ST are in the 1040 edition of TTB. For example, the chart on page 1-2, at the bottom, there is a list of deductions for meals for Transportation workers for 2007 thru 2012.

Thanks all, I knew I had to be missing it. So used to the print version....but I had to build shelves in my attic storage for all my old tax materials so I thought I'd try one that didn't take up space!
