    1099 b

I have had a few 1099B's this year with tidy 2-line long-term, short-term totals on the first page, and tons of details following.

I am so tempted to save lots of time, and load the 2 tidy lines on the return and just mail the statement with the 8453.

Does anyone do that routinely? Just asking.

    No problem

I do it all the time. Just be sure the covereds and non covererds are separte and coded correctly.
