    Under Filing Threshold

Turns out that this year clients' MFJ return has no tax liability -- nothing due, no refund. In fact, for that filing status, joint gross income does not require a return. Will it efile? Or should I just ignore it? Return completed and fee paid. Some discussion on this earlier when you look at each TP separately.

Yes it will efile. I had one that because of another situation had to file and only had ss. I put $1 in interest so that it would go.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

I use this (NRTF) return as kinda a notice to IRS that they may not see this return next year. However I review each year to be sure. And it will efile with no problems.

If they are under the filing threshhold should not be filed. IRS does not want it.
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

As it is e-filed and computer received, probability is that the IRS will never notice. If there was an information document that reported the income, a real possibility that will receive notice of failure to file.
