Strange W-2!

Client lived in NJ in 2005.

Got W-2 with State as "PA"

Has box 1 = $3000

"ALL" other boxes are BLANK. Commnet in Box 14 = Stk $3000. No ode V or W.

(1) Do I Need to do anyhting?
(2) I will report on Federal but waht about state?
(3) No SS or Med, State tax etc.

I do not know. Cleint will call company and find out. Client did work in PA in 2004 but then moved in 2004 to NJ. In 2005 no tax was withheld for PA

Sorry, my bad, wasn't trying to explain the mystery underlying the W-2, just pointing out that an NJ resident shouldn't be subject to PA W-2 w/h.
