Live To Ride Ride To Live

Do you own or ride a motorcycle? We have one and love it! Or what do you ride?

I'll bet you really get the big V-Twin feel on that Accord. Do you get leathered up for that?

Personally I like my Dyna Wide Glide.

We have a green Kawasaki Voyager XII. We hit the road and let the wind blow us whereever. We even went to Branson on it. Love it. Too bad we all can't get together and RIDE!

I have a motor scooter. I had the big idea of riding it on the road. Not to good of an idea since it only goes to about 40-50. Have to pull a "flintstone" on hills. Push yourself off with your feet. It also hurt my back. So there went $1200 down the drain. I've got to sale it.

I'm really into the whole chopper thing. Huge fan of American Choppers. I got the DVDs and play them at the office.

I used to ride in my younger days. There's nothing like it, as you folks who ride know. One evening, probably 1979, I almost got smeared by cars five times on the way home from work. I put my bike away and never rode it again. I've been on a bike maybe twice since then.

When my kids are grown and can take care of themselves, I'll get a bike again. Here in Minnesota, you have all those dumb deer running in from Wisconsin and they can be as bad as car drivers who don't pay attention. The risk is part of the fun. But the real fun is the engine hum mixing with the wind in your hair.

Rocky - quit lurking and join in more often....

We had a Honda 50 when I was a kid. I think you could do 35 on it going down hill with the wind to your back...

We were racing the thing up the dirt road to the stop sign and back with a stop watch trying to see who could get the best time. My cousin came flying back and wiped out on the curve just before the river. As he rolled to the edge of the river, we all ran to see if the bike was still OK.

Not to worry, the bike was fine.

                  Rocky,

Are you getting some more chrome after tax season? I bought my bike last year in March. I've put on 7k miles. I plan on putting way more this summer. We have a trip to the coast planned the weekend after tax deadline. Can't wait!

                    Thanks for the welcome

                    Bees,
Thanks for the encouragement to post but since I'm just getting back into tax prep (as well as biking ) I'm spending most of my time reading and learning. Great board and great book. Thanks for both.
You know it was a Honda 90 that some kids had while camping on the river that gave me the bug when I was a kid, then when I turned 18 bought a Suzuki dirt bike, thought my dad was gonna disown me!

                    Veritas,
Hubby spent the winter chrome shopping. Oh, does it look nice! Thinking about a Grand Canyon trip next year, although Maine has been tossed about as a possibilty for this summer. Right now I'd be happy with a daytrip, just waiting on the weather....
