    New Schedule D

    If the 1099 statement states non covered, the correct box is B -basis not provided? Even if the statement does provide some cost information and G/L information ??

    That is correct as that information is not reported to the IRS.

      That is also my understanding. So the only "Box A" transactions that you should have for this season are short-term stock sales. No long-term, no mutual funds.
