    AZ form 323 school tuition change for 2011

    We must have some strong lobbyist here in the private school sector to extend 2011 contributions into 2012. My ProSeries software on form 323 has a column "2012 contributions before 4/15". Correct me if I am wrong but 1040 filing deadline for tax year 2011 is 4/17/2012.

    The contribution can be used in the prior year for the credit on the AZ return, but as a charitable deduction on the federal return only for the year in which the contribution was actually made.

    The date of April 15th is set by the above referenced law.
