First Day- NT

It was like a microcosm of tax season on Tuesday:

Client- "I forgot my checkbook . . . " (Me- already??) Client- "But I'm bringing cash!"

Then I sent someone packing with their stinky pre-filled out Schedule A (no back up docs.)

And then when I told another client their fee was increasing $15, she said, "Is that all?"

I gave her "The Look"

Woman off the street stuck her 1099-R under my nose and asked if she was required to file. I asked all the right questions, then answered HER question.

"Are you sure?" she asks.

Guy stopped in Saturday to file. He only had his last pay stub. I told him that I needed the W-2 in order to file his return. Today the girlfriend dropped of an envelope that she said contained the W-2. It contained his automobile registration ! And I thought that I was confused.

Client tells me she is emailing a 2011 1099.
I get it. Look at it.

It is her W2........................from 2007. DOH!
