Is there not one marketed mainly to accountants and tax pros?

I thought I remembered one that got discussed here and that I understood to be marketed mainly at accounting and tax professionals. Am I ringing any bells?

That may have been VMS which has virtual tech support, etc. I used them through 2011 for support and encrypted cloud back-ups. The founders were from ATX support when CCH moved that department to Rome, GA, to combine with TaxWise or whatever their other software was. Some remained in Caribou, ME. Unfortunately, they are eliminating their back-ups. They recommended I use Carbonite, I think.

As I now have a local techie with good response time and two removeable drives to swap out and a convenient, off-site location to store a drive (as well as additional back-ups of tax returns, etc., on other media), I probably will not replace VMS with any additional services.

It's cheap. 2gb is free, 100 GB is $100 per year.

There are multiple things I like about them. Almost every service allows themselves access to your data if stored on their network for security purposes. Spideroak doesn't have access to my files. I have an encryption key that is required to open the files. It's not just a user name and password. It's 256 bit encryption but they all pretty much use that these days.

I don't back up everything on my hard drive. I only back up data files I can't live without. All my tax files are backed up, our firm data files, scanned documents... It really isn't all that much, you'd be surprised if you aren't backing up actual program files.

they don't, the instructions tell you to be sure to put the key somewhere that you won't lose it and where you will remember it's location....
