Latest IRS notice. Sent in a 1040X. They sent it back saying they needed more information to complete. They wanted an SE form. That line hadn't changed!!!

1040X instructions:

You must attach all appropriate forms and schedules to Form 1040X or it will be returned.

I've seen one that wanted the Schedule M. The $400 hadn't changed, but one of the lines on the Sch. M had. I don't know whether it's the IRS software being fussy, or the transcriptionists being forbidden to think about the data.
